The Purpose of life #1: Introduction.

Every creature in this Universe is here for a reason. It exists to fulfil the function(s) it was meant to fulfil.

From the tiniest of ants in the Amazonian forest to the biggest star in the neighbouring galaxies it all work together in an action of roles, functions and rights.

And this is observed when Humans exploit a resource or an animal so much it ceases to exist that the entire equilibrium of life is troubled.

Meaning that when a function is not fulfilled by the creature who is meant to fulfil it, the world and life on Earth gets sick or dead one way or another.

     On a smaller scale, an animal, for instance, won’t fulfill its function only when ill or dead and not fulfilling its function will eventually lead to its illness or death because that role it was meant to do is the key to its sustained health and life and its sustained health and life is key for it to fulfill its role.

Read that again!

"The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [ Allah ] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving."
"The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [ Allah ] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving."

     Now, there are 2 functions that every single creature in the Universe is meant to  fulfil and those are:

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me."
  1. worshipping only the Creator of all things;
  2. sustaining one’s life and well-being and/or contributing to the sustainability of another’s creature life and wellbeing.

And not fulfilling them is either:

  • a proof of the creature’s illness or death;
  • the cause of the creature’s illness or death.

        To be honest, the first of these purposes is the main and only one but God being the Merciful and Kind Master that He is, He made it so that the second one is a byproduct of the first. Meaning that the optimal sustainability of a creature’s life and health is found in worshipping Him and only Him.

      Hence, the other option could’ve been creating us all for the purpose of worship but making this very act toxic to and contradictory with our wellbeing,

Think about it and take a moment to pause, praise God and thank Him.

Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!
Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!

Let that sink in!

O you who believe, respond to Allah and His Messenger, when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah comes in between a man and his heart, and that to Him you will be gathered.

O you who believe, respond to Allah and His Messenger, when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah comes in between a man and his heart, and that to Him you will be gathered.

And to these same rules and laws do the Humans and their organs submit, from our pinky toe to our blood cells, it is all here for a function and a purpose, but Humans being the only creatures with brains, free will and desires, we’re the only ones breaking that order and causing chaos down here 😃 Welcome abroad!

And the human heart, ladies and gentlemen is no exception, it has 2 functions, a physical one (keep pumping blood to keep us alive) and a spiritual one (worshipping its Creator only and making Him its only master).

When one of these functions is not fulfilled, it’s because something’s wrong it and the longer the heart doesn’t fulfil either of those functions the sicker it will get and eventually die if not rescued properly.

I hope you get the loop by now, something is wrong because the functions are not fulfilled and functions not fulfilled will lead to more wrong things…you see!

In our next sessions, we will discuss the meaning of worshipping the Creator and how the heart’s state depends on that!

Stay focused Folks!
