How to Clean Body From Summer Indulgences!!
You guys have no idea how excited I am about Fall and winter. I love how everyone goes back to their caves and work their hearts off after a well deserved entertaining Summer!
My summer was a caroussel of strong emotions, tough decisions and scattered moments of pure joy with old friends and new people.
I've matured, understood and found the catalysts I've been waiting on.
Now it's time to get back to the rather monotone seasons of focused work and studying, but with the summer late nights and icecream à volonté, over-socializing and other indulgences our body can feel too drained to get back to work.
So here are 4 ways I started using to detox my body and prepare it to help me work for my dreams!!
A Fitness Challenge.
I started 3 challenges that I do everyday:
A challenge with a precise number of days will keep you more accountable and motivated especially if working out is not a big part of your life already!
To be honest working out and I have been in this on and off relationship since Summer 2014.
But it’s better than quitting for good or not starting altogether because not only does the body easily go back to shape after a short break, but it actually starts urging you to move because it misses how good it feels to move.
If you don't do any of this at least start a daily walking habit. Your body and creativity will thank you for it ;)
2. Cleansing Drinks.
GUYS I'M HOOKED!!
I don't need to tell you about my close relationship with tea but during hot summer days it can be less tempting to sip on a steaming cup of tea.
Up until I watched Niomi Smart's video about beauty elixir drinks and didn't stop from that day.
It's simple you put some hot water on green tea, add some mint leave, quarters of lemon, few drops of rose water and ice and let it cool before you take on it.
It'll leave you refreshed, clean and guilt-free about last night's cupcake ;)
What other drinks would you recommend?!
...Heal the skin...
Skin, my dearest skin, what can I do for you to stop punishing me for every ounce of fat I consume. I mean, I was at my grandmother's house, I can't really afford to feed you the healthiness I feed you at home ...or can I?!
Anyway, I had to find a way to heal you, so beside getting back to clean and natural eating, I'm pampering you with daily cleansing, exfoliating 2 times a week and a weekly mask.
I already made a post about my full skin care routine but here are a few twicks:
Castor oil mixed with a less lipid oil (Jasmine or Olive oil). Rub on face then cleanse with humid washcloth.
I used this before buying this Body Shop 3 in 1 Tea Tree Wash.scrub.Mask that I love already and I am only willing to use as a wash. My skin LOVES tea tree oil.
There are 4 ingredients that I combine in pairs whenever my skin is in need of something to make it feel alive again:
- Olive oil Or Jasmine oil (I'm addicted to this one because it smells SO GOOD)
- Baking soda
- Caster Sugar
Mix one of the two firsts with one of the two lasts and apply while masssaging the face in circular motion.
I just tried that Body Shop's Tea tree Clearing Clay Mask yesterday and my skin feels so soft, so healthy and not like it just consumed a lot of fat.
AND oh God MY NOSE LOOKED SO CLEAN WITH SO MUCH LESS BLACK HEADS.I was shocked I'm not even kidding!
Get Back to being a Sleeping Beauty *.*
...yeah because I look nothing like a sleeping beauty with these bags under my eyes from late night deep conversations haha!
It was worth it I'm not gonna lie, but it's time to get back to sanity. This week I started to wake up a little earlier than 10h30 so that I can go to bed a little earlier than 02 or 03 a.m.
Yesterday I tried 09 a.m. and going to bed at 01 a.m.
Slowly I wanna set a sleeping pattern from midnight to 08 a.m. (y)
And that's it!
now tell me, what other detoxifying activities should I add to rejuvenate my body for Fall and Winter?...THAT I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT!!
