me at twenty.
This is my face...or half of it.
I don't know what to think of it
It breaks out when I let too much sweetness in
and it softens when I put honey and cinnamon on it.
This is my favourite pair of shoes.
(yeah started from the top now I'm at the bottom.)
they're the most expensive (and most comfortable) shoes I've ever bought but they're worth every cent
cause since I bought them I couldn't find any other shoes I like
I've been wearing them non-stop for the past year
summer and winter
to the beach and to the farm.
currently I ....
well....I write a LOT but not as much as I want to and not exactly about what I want to
but I'm working on it.
I'm in my third year of Quran studies Bachelor and I've never been thirstier to learn more about this miraculous book
I also just recently started to learn Web development.
In short, I want to be a respected web developer, write a lot of interesting books and be a Qur'an expert.
Is that too much to ask?
I also workout and do yoga and take a lot of naps.
How I like to think of my life?
Anyway, I like to think of my life as a succession of projects that keep my passion and curiosity alive and running. Projects that challenge my being and take me from point A to a better, stronger, healthier point B.
I'm also all about slowing down and being mindful and genuine in everything I do and focusing on quality over quantity and on mastery over hustle.
What's on my side table?
I do most of those occupations in bed...I know it's bad for my back (I need a massage between) but it stimulates my creativity you know..
anyway, on my side table, the one to the side of my bed, you'll always find these things:
my phone, a cup of water, hand cream, my favourite plate, my mini-notebook where I write my to-do list every night and other lists I LOVE WRITING LISTS.
Favourite colour: maroon/burgundy.
I find this colour very attractive, it's okay if you find it disgusting, I think orange is disgusting....but maroon dude,
maroon is ...comfort and strength, sass and humbleness all in 1.
Look at it! just ...
my closet is mainly made of: cardigans
cardigans, 1 2 3 4... look you can never have enough cardigans especially as a hijabi. I'm just putting this out there. never.enough
jewellery I'm always wearing:
Both of these were a gift from my mother, one for high school graduation and one for my driving license.
I'm always wearing them, they're lovely, aren't they? my mother is lovely, is she not?
random things I like:
my name spelt right, being called a lady, LONG WALKS and the word Grace.
Swings and typewriters, I have neither though :(
people who remember details about me, emotionally intelligent people, peanut butter, Wolf Larsen's voice and quality...quality shoes, quality conversations, quality food and quality relationships.
that is me, me at twenty years old. or rather a snippet of me on December 2016. I'm not sure if I want these things to change but if they were to I hope better things will replace them.
P.S.: this was inspired by Mr. Will Darbyshire with his 'me at 23' video. Lovely.
P.P.S.: Just realised that everything I mentioned here is somewhat positive and pretty. So here's a reality check to make all this more accurate:
- My face also breakouts when I stress and I stress a lot because I overthink the d.e.t.a.i.l.s.
- I get ill a lot because I don't listen to my body when it urges me to go to bed or when I eat snacks at midnight or when I go outside after taking my shower without covering up.
- I also don't call my grandmother and uncle enough and they don't like that and I don't like it either.
- I'm also a terrible painter and I don't clean my room as regularly as I should!
I will stop before you hate me but yeah I wouldn't have it any other way although I try my best to fix these imperfections.
Happy? satisfied? Okay bye.
